Can our emotions be recognised automatically and en masse by digital systems? If we engage in emotional conversations with AI-based social chatbots that simulate emotions - what does that mean for our own emotions? And could machines have emotions themselves at some point in the future? These questions are at the centre of a discussion with philosophy professor Eva Weber-Guskar (Ruhr University Bochum), who is presenting her book Gefühle der Zukunft. She examines the possibilities that affective computing already offers today and encourages the responsible use of emotionalised AI.
